Singles at APC
APC’s philosophy of ministry to singles is a little different. We don’t have the kind of singles ministry you might expect to find, and this is deliberate. We are trying to be a church family that worships, socializes and grows together. Just as different generations contribute their gifts and experiences to the body, so do people in different stages of life.
Our Adult Sunday School classes are open to anyone (although, on occasion, we do have a study just for women or for men). But we don’t divide up classes based on marital status or age. We hope this encourages the congregation to grow closer and stronger, and function like one family.
The Covenant Fellowship Groups at APC are open to all. Sure, some of them have more singles than others, and some are older or younger than others, but no one is assigned or excluded. You attend the group that’s right for you.
One of our single members put it this way: “I love my fellowship group. Even though I’m in my 20's and single, I feel like I’m part of a family when I sit around that dinner table with their little kiddos. It’s the highlight of my week. Plus, it’s really helpful to get the perspective of folks who’ve been through some of things I’m dealing with.”
