Adult Sunday School classes are Sundays, 10:45-11:45am. Classes change quarterly, see class descriptions for the current quarter below. You may visit any class at any time.
The Big Wait, Led by Jeremy Root, Room 211. After a dramatic confrontation and sudden capitulation, the people of Israel were freed from their Egyptian masters and fled across the Red Sea, only to wander in the desert wilderness for decades. Why the excruciating delay? This study of the Exodus will examine God's leadership of His people during this critical time of spiritual and political formation, with a focus on the character of God and the calling of patience in our own spiritual journey. Each class session will focus on a separate episode, so please feel free to join us anytime throughout the summer quarter.
Miraculous, Led by Marc Allen, Room 210/212. "Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles,” 1 Chron. 16:12. Through a study of the Gospel of Mark, we will look at the history, context, purposes and teachings of Jesus’ many miracles. With each miracle, we glimpse more clearly the character of God and man and gain precious insight into the gracious nature of the relationship that God extends to us. As we study God's power, displayed in the life of man, we will constantly hearken back to the fact that this is history, not philosophy, that we are studying.
All Sunday evening activities will be held from 5-7pm at 2405 Russell Road.
Sign-ups are required. To sign-up, please contact the course’s point of contact listed below, and indicate if you will need childcare.
