Need help getting here?

If you are in need of transportation to the church, we would be happy to arrange for someone to pick you up prior to worship at one of the Metro stops nearest the church. Call the office by noon on Thursday to request this assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect when I come?

We would love to have you come and worship with us at APC. Expect a friendly welcome! It is our desire that we experience God’s presence and life-changing power when we worship. Our worship services typically consist of music, prayer, Bible reading, opportunities to profess faith and confess sin, and a sermon on a particular portion of the Bible. When you visit APC, we invite you to join us between our worship services for a cup of coffee and fellowship. This is a great opportunity for you to meet us and learn more about our church.

Where will my kids worship?

If you plan to come with children, feel free to keep them with you in the service or place them in the nursery, which serves children up to age 4. One of our greeters will be happy to direct you. At an age-appropriate level, they enjoy free-play with other kids, a snack, music, singing, and a Bible lesson. Children ages 5 through 2nd grade have the opportunity to begin worshiping in the service and to leave at a directed time for Children’s Church, being picked up after the service. We have safety procedures in place, and all our volunteers who work with young ones are trained in a child, youth, and safety policy with required background checks. The safety and well-being of our church family is very important to us.

What is the style of worship?

Our worship service includes both band and choirs, and both traditional hymns and contemporary songs. But worship is not primarily about the music we sing, nor about listening to a sermon. Worship is a re-telling of the gospel — the glory of God, our brokenness and need for redemption, and the grace of God manifested in Jesus Christ who redeems us. Each Sunday, we have the opportunity to respond to these truths, because good worship is a dialogue. As God speaks to us, we respond to Him in song, in prayer, in adoration, and in service to one another.

Is there a dress code?

We don’t have a dress code. Feel free to come as you are. You’ll find people wearing a range of anything from casual to Sunday dress.
