  • Demographic and Profile Data, such as your age, gender, survey responses and other feedback.

How We Use and Share Your Information

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us or to send you relevant e-mail updates through a third-party service provider (MailChimp) based on your consent via our opt-in forms. When you fill out an RSVP or volunteer form, give a financial gift, or otherwise sign up for a ministry opportunity, your data is processed by a secure third-party service provider (Elexio Community) in order to complete the financial transaction or communicate with you about the event or opportunity that is of interest to you. When Elexio processes your request, the use of your personal information will be covered by their privacy policy, which is available here.  All sensitive financial data is encrypted and is not kept or seen by our church staff.  Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards are implemented during financial transactions initiated via our website.

Security

We have taken appropriate security measures to safeguard your personal data by implementing reasonable technical and physical security measures based on the type of data we process.  When you submit information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. The only time we collect this information is when you make an online donation or register for an event that has a registration fee.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information in order to perform a specific job (e.g., finance staff) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Our website uses “Google Analytics,” a web analytics service that uses “cookies” to track and report website traffic.  This technology helps us gather information such as the number of visitors to the website and how visitors use the website.  This information allows us to better understand how people use this website and improves its features.
