Covenant Kids Nursery Ministry

For Children’s ages 0-4
Building Strong Biblical Foundations!
Located on the Lower Level, turn right after descending the main stairway.

We desire to partner with your family in sharing the gospel with our nursery children. In the nursery, our infant through pre-K children experience God’s love through story, song, and play as we worship together in a safe, nurturing environment.

We desire to partner with your family in sharing the gospel with children ages K– 5th grade. Beginning with a strong Biblical foundation, we rely on the Holy Spirit as we pursue spiritual growth, foster community, and live and learn together in gospel grace.

Covenant Kids Children’s Church

Love the Lord your God with all your heart!

Teachers instruct using the “Teach Me to Worship” lessons, relying on the Holy Spirit to engage the hearts of our children. What does worship mean? What are the elements and order of our worship service and why are they important?  The children sing, learn and hear the Gospel as they prepare to join the adults for worship in the sanctuary.

On Sundays, children ages five through 2nd grade are dismissed during the worship service to be escorted by teachers to the Children’s Church room. After the service, please promptly pick up your child from the Children’s Church room. A parent must be present for the child to be released. Please note that Children’s Church does not meet on the 5th Sunday of a month.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is scheduled for the 1st full week after public elementary schools finish for the summer (private schools often get out earlier).
Rising Kindergarten – Rising 5th grade are welcome to participate.
Rising 6th graders – adults may volunteer after completing our screening process.
Pre-registration is required. Look for more information and details in May. If you’d like to be put on a distribution list for upcoming information, please email erin.furgerson@alexandriapres.org.

VBS focuses on developing the whole child through Bible lessons, service, art, drama, and a variety of other activities. Each day the kids will learn one particular truth about God’s character.

Covenant Kids Key Equipping

Located on the Lower Level, in various classrooms and the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday evenings we welcome children ages 2 through 5th grade (nursery for 1 year and younger) to experience gospel living and discipleship as they build relationships with one another and with the leaders of their small groups. Their time includes singing, playing age and developmentally appropriate games, sharing dinner together and a lessons that teach Biblical truths as we seek to reinforce their knowledge of the gospel as well as applying it to daily living. How do I love and honor God and others with my conduct, my pursuits, my possessions, and my abilities?

We welcome your children’s friends who need to hear the gospel and invite them to join in our fun and purposeful evenings!
