Children’s Church
Love the Lord your God with all your heart!
Teachers instruct using the “Teach Me to Worship” lessons, relying on the Holy Spirit to engage the hearts of our children. What does worship mean? What are the elements and order of our worship service and why are they important? The children sing, learn and hear the Gospel as they prepare to join the adults for worship in the sanctuary.
Children ages 5-7 are dismissed during the worship service to be escorted by teachers to the Children’s Church room.. After the service, please promptly pick up your child from the Children’s Church room. We will not release children without a parent.
Sunday School
Love the Lord your God with all your mind!
Early elementary children are learning more of God’s story by continuing to build on Biblical foundations through teaching, prayer, and application in small group settings.
Older elementary children are seeing God’s story throughout the Bible as they search the Scriptures for evidence of God’s love and redemption. Through study, prayer and application in small group settings, our children engage their minds to understand God more deeply.
Please escort your children grades K-2 to their Sunday school room and return promptly at the end of the SS hour to pick them up.
Children in grades 3-5 may come to the room unescorted, but will need an older sibling or parent to pick them up at the conclusion of the SS hour.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is an annual summer week-long event of discipleship and outreach for children ages five through 5th grade. VBS focuses on developing the whole child through Bible lessons, service, art, drama, and a variety of other activities. Each day the kids will learn one particular truth about God’s character.
Homeschooling Ministry
There are several APC families who homeschool their children. These children frequently gather together for special activities. Contact the church office for more information.
