Mercy Ministry
Our deacons have a Biblical mandate (Acts 6) to address needs within the Body of Christ, so we have a Deacons’ Fund offering each month to provide for the material needs of our own congregation, and to show the love of Christ to people in our community. The deacons administer these funds, and work together with the men and women of the Mercy Committee to counsel, encourage, and pray for those in need.

Engagement in Missions is an integral part of the life and ministry of Alexandria Presbyterian Church. Within the first year of APC’s founding, the congregation began supporting a missionary family serving abroad. That commitment to support those in the mission field has deepened over the years through steady financial support, regular communication and prayer.

Urgent Needs
Urgent Apartments Needed
APC’s deacons and deaconesses are seeking to connect an APC family with an apartment or rooms for rent. The apartment or rooms should include a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and preferably, a private entrance. If you have something that fits this description, please reach out to [email protected].
Urgent Audio/Video
We are in need of volunteers (high school and up) for both our audio and video teams. These teams help run APC’s livestream and simulcast and allow members of our church family to hear the music, preaching, and to worship each Sunday. You will be trained by current volunteers before running audio or video solo. If this is something you might be interested in, please reach out to Bailey Rolland at [email protected].
Urgent Nursery Volunteers
Nursery volunteers. Thanks to all who are faithfully volunteering for the nursery! This is a meaningful way for the entire APC body to invest in raising our children for the Lord. We need additional volunteers. Would you prayerfully consider serving in this ministry? Volunteers serve 2 times per quarter.

The Usher team needs your help! As God continues to bring more people to APC the need for ushers continues to grow as well. Ushers are vital in APC’s mission of being a “welcoming community of believers,” through service of seating and collection of offerings. Seeking Car Donations
Seeking Donations of Cars. The Deacons and Deaconesses are assisting several individuals in the APC congregation who would greatly benefit from receiving a donated car for their use. If you have a used vehicle in good working condition with a few years of life left on it that you are willing to donate, please contact [email protected]. Your donation will be tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.

APC maintains a transportation ministry to help folks without a car or unable to drive get to church, doctor’s appointments, and other priority needs. We currently have a number of APC volunteers who have graciously given of their time to be part of this ministry, but we need more. Volunteers may be asked to complete the APC Congregational Care & Safety trainings for serving with children or with vulnerable adults. Adult Choir
The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and sings in Sunday services, predominantly at 9am. Their purpose is to magnify God’s greatness by leading gospel-motivated, Spirit-reliant congregational singing, and by crafting rich, gospel-proclaiming music for the church’s reflection and meditation. Please consider lending your heart and your voice to serve your church family! Having the ability to read musical scores is helpful but not required.

By managing the projection of lyrics and scripture on our video screens, projection volunteers keep everyone aware of what’s happening in each service, help to facilitate the leadership of APC’s pastors and musicians, and literally place the words of the gospel in view of God’s people each week. You do not have to be savvy with technology or media design to serve in this capacity.

We value your help as we worship on Sunday mornings. Volunteers will arrive 30 minutes prior to each service. 5-6 volunteers are needed for each service.

Children’s Church Leaders
Children’s Church. Children’s Church is offered every Sunday (except the fifth Sunday). Our class is growing which is a wonderful blessing! Please consider teaching the next generation the glorious deeds of the Lord. Teachers are needed during worship for first and second services. Teacher teams lead the class 2 times per quarter during Sunday morning worship.

PROTAS Teen Ministry
Volunteers Needed. Please consider coming alongside teenagers in just one of many different opportunities: PROTAS Sunday night ministry could use one adult male and one adult female, host or co-lead a regional discipleship group, come alongside one to three 14-18 year olds who need a mentor, or let me connect you to one of several local Young Life parachurch ministries.
