Jennifer Szabo

Jen is a musician, educator, and creative communications professional with a passion for using design and media to help organizations connect with their communities. She supports communications for the Northern Neck Orchestra and previously served on the Board of Directors of the New York Flute Club, where she managed website content, edited the newsletter, and oversaw digital media, and as Parish Administrator for a local church.

Alongside her communications work, Jen maintains an active career as a professional flutist. She is Acting Second Flutist of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Principal Flute of the American Contemporary Classical Orchestra, and Piccolo/3rd flute of the Northern Neck Orchestra. She freelances frequently with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Richmond Symphony, and Opera Society of Washington, among others. She’s a proud member and cofounder of the vibrant chamber group, The Royal Winds, comprised of fellow members of APC.

Jen enjoys exploring the outdoors, finding great coffee, and reading “just one more chapter.” She lives in VA with her husband, David, First Tenor of the U.S. Army Chorus, “Pershing’s Own.”
